Hosfelt Gallery: Andrew Schoultz - Blown To Bits.
Comment by AB: Andrew Schoultz bombards us with art that seems to jump out at you from everywhere, in all shapes, colors and sizes, from modest to monumental. You've got classic paintings, drawings and works on paper, and in the fresh new category, dynamic energized sculptural works for the floors as well as the walls, simultaneously flying apart yet holding solidly together. It ain't a pretty picture out there in the big bad world these days, and Shoultz effectively zones in on the chaos. Perhaps he nods to the positive with flashes of dazzling color... or maybe they're flames from Hell. This one's a winner; go see.

Comment by AB: In the front gallery we've got all kinds of affordable art, every piece measuring 12 inches square while the center gallery sports a group show. In the front left project space, Tony Papesh whips up a batch of crazy characters kinda similar to Nutty Mads produced by the Marx Toy Company in the 1960s (google 'em up and you'll see what I mean). In the rear left project space, Nikolai Klein paints up romantic impressions of Mexico.
