Ever Gold Gallery: New California Sculpture - Joey Enos & Tamra Seal.

Comment by AB: You practically need sunglasses for this adventure in luminescence. Tamra Seal creates cylindrical acrylic sculptures and bullseye-style wall works arranged into grids. Several more traditional cast sculptures round out her selection. As for Joey Enos, his kooky doodads look like they're pulled straight out of cartoons and inflated from two to three dimensions.

Park Life: Earth Wizard - Ceramics and Drawings by Paul Wackers and Jessica Hans.

Comment by AB: Classic Paul Wackers drawings are often inspired by objects around his studio. Added to this are ceramics ranging in style from completely freeform to mid-20th century throwbacks by Wackers and Jessica Hans, mostly solo endeavors, but some collaborative works.

Comment by AB: According to the deposition, "both artists translate appropriated imagery, materials and ideas in their independent ways, which constitute the autonomous vernaculars seen in their work." These here hifalutin art words coincidentally happen to describe pretty much all art. Speaking of art, the art in this show's all over the place, literally and figuratively, so make of it what you will and be happy with that.
