Comment by AB: Brought to us by the great people who produce Art Miami, Aqua Art Miami, Art Wynwood and Art Southampton, San Francisco and the Silicon Valley are gifted with this unique opportunity to see the finest in modern and contemporary art from an eminently impressive array of national and international galleries, in addition to select galleries and art organizations throughout California. Each and every participant in this marvelous event believes in us and our desire to welcome art into our lives by presenting us with the best they have to offer. The works on exhibit are overwhelmingly exceptional, and you will see many fine examples by artists at all stages in their careers including plenty by major national as well as international names, most of which you would never otherwise have an opportunity to experience on exhibit and accessible right here right now in our own backyard.
I can't emphasize enough that the art world is coming here to the Bay Area and inviting us to experience what it's like to surround ourselves with exemplary endeavors of creative brilliance from around the world... or at least a respectable part of it. From Abstract Expressionism to art of the "irrationally exuberant" nineties to today's emerging and established art stars (including a surprising selection of urban works), it's all the best. Conveniently located midway between San Jose and San Francisco, let's all meet in the middle and get to know each other in this nexus of aesthetic excellence... and while there, patronize these establishments so that next year, they come back with even more. Go see. On exhibit through October 12.
