Hosfelt Gallery: Jim Campbell - New Work.

Comment by AB: Jim Campbell's hyper-pixelated videos are sometimes created by projecting light from LED bulbs (each bulb representing a single pixel) backward onto walls rather than forward toward viewers in order to blur barely identifiable scenarios even further. Other times, the blur is heightened by projecting forward through translucent panels. Ordinary events like street scenes or people swimming in a pool take on hypnotically ambiguous qualities when presented in this way. Sculptural and textural works are also on display. Plenty to marvel at, and definitely worth seeing.
