Comment by AB: The show includes images borrowed from "The Economist" magazine, old outdated billboards purchased online and still in their original shipping containers (caskets?), and a sculptural installation of framed photographic images hung in a group, looking like they're halfway taped and wrapped. Good show; check it out.

Gallery 16: Jered Sprecher - Stacking Stones.
Comment by AB: This series of abstractions was begun in the summer of 2013 at The Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas where Jered Sprecher was an Artist-in-Residence. A number of the compositions are diverse variations on a single stock photograph of three doves nesting on a cliff. Stop on by.

Ever Gold Gallery: Guy Overfelt - Free Bird, The Never Ending Joy Ride, 1998-2014.
Comment by AB: In this latest episode of his ongoing automobilic adventure, Guy Overfelt has his beloved Trans Am (sans engine) up on a hydraulic lift that he's installed in the gallery. During the course of the opening, the vehicle is periodically raised and lowered, among other activities. Saga-related memorabilia is available for purchase.

Fouladi Projects: Proud to be a Hero - Laurina Paperina.
Review by RWM: Great cartoony art. Amusement and verve. The show makes fun of making fun without knowing it. Entertaining art from oversees. Nice to see the caricatures and the humor which is disarming.
Comment by AB: Laurina Paperina lets loose with her wiggy brand of creative commentary, skewering pretty much everyone and everything in the process. Take no prisoners.
