Visual Aid: WURST Party of the Year - World Famous BRATFEST, a Benefit for Visual Aid.
Comment by AB: The star of this annual Visual Aid fundraiser is bratwurst flown in direct from Miesfeld's of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, reputed to be the best on the planet. Here at the bratfest, they're prepared entirely according to tradition-- grilled and then simmered in beer and onions, laid into authentic bratwurst buns, garnished with specially selected mustards, buttered up, and for the coup de grace, slathered in sauerkraut. Burp-a-licious! And all for a terrific cause-- supporting artists with life-threatening illnesses.

Mission Comics & Art: On The Edge of Beauty - Jean Tripier.
Review by Mairead O'Connor: SF based French comic book artist Jean Tripier displays his watercolor and mixed media images that are used in his comic strips. Some images are what you'd expect from a comic strip, others are otherworldly and dreamlike, touching on ideas of hope, rebirth and a new world.

Arc Studios & Gallery: The 2nd Annual FourSquared Exhibition. Curated by Mike Yochum & Matthew Frederick.
Artists: Annie Arrasmith, John Fitzsimmons, Audrey Heller, Judy Johnson-Williams, Barbara Kleinhans, Kristin Kyono, Paul Madonna, Michael McConnell, Carrie Nardello, Nite Owl, Mark Paron, Sonya Philip, Silvia Poloto, Fernando Reyes, Rebecca Szeto, Hadley Williams.
Comment by AB: Sixteen Bay Area artists submit sixteen small works each. Each artist's work is displayed together in four-by-four format, essentially resulting in sixteen mini-shows in one. It works. You can focus closely enough on each individual artist to get a good sense of what their art is about.
