Comment by AB: Rousing fundraiser for Visual Aid, a longstanding San Francisco non-profit that encourages artists with life-threatening illnesses to keep making art. How? By providing art supplies, art related services, exhibition opportunities, show venues and much more. Varnish co-owner Jen Rogers tells me that the show is also a preview of the art and artists the gallery will be exhibiting this December in Miami. Stop on by.

Comment by AB: So here's the skinny. Stage a regular event where anyone can paint whatever they want with unlimited free art supplies courtesy of Club Six and what happens? All kinds of people come together in many different ways and for many different reasons. Why? Art. It's precisely that simple and no more complicated. Creator and producer Jay Frost tells me that 300-500 people participate in this weekly convocation. Release your inner artist now. It's all good here.
