Fifty24SF Gallery: Jeremy Fish - Where Hearts Get Left.
Review by Clare Coppel: New work by Jeremy Fish all about our beautiful city. Black and white illustrations of the characters of various San Francisco neighborhoods are humorous, endearing and well designed. Nice Pigeons. Lots of fans and Jeremy Fish signing books and matchbooks and sitting for photos. Awesome.
Comment by AB: Jeremy Fish is a true champion of everything San Francisco as he venerates our great city again and again with his art. No one does it better. The line to get in stretches practically to the end of the block.

Comment by AB: I wanna see some better curation here; Root Division shows have a tendency to be way too rangy and plagued by a mishmash of lengthy and disjointed narratives. This show is themed as a storytelling event with parameters including personal, family and cultural histories-- which can mean pretty much anything. In other words, no matter what the art looks like, it fits.
