Review by RWM: Amazing installation reminds us that we can recycle mechanical objects that are in their own way incredible. This experience is like an encounter with machines from the future. One could surmise that they are artificial intelligences or the insides of robots.

Comment by AB: Over 120 artists paint, draw, cut, paste and do whatever else they do in order to create their art. Those in attendance are free to wander about the room and watch the artists in action. All finished works are immediately placed up at the exceptionally affordable price of $60. When more than one person wants a particular work of art, on-the-spot lotteries decide who gets the prize. All proceeds raised tonight go to support Southern Exposure's programs.

Comment by AB: This invigorating throwback three-fer crawling with all kinds of area characters includes fine Punk Era photography by Ruby Ray, vintage newspapers featuring the work of Winston Smith, and a release party for the book, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables by Alex Ogg, a biography of The Dead Kennedys early years.
