Public Glass at Fort Mason Center: Artists & Artisans - Public Glass' 8th Annual Benefit Auction Gala.

Comment by AB: If you're a glass artist in San Francisco, you know how essential Public Glass is to the glass art community. Tonight's silent and live auction event is the major fundraiser of the year for this organization-- and a terrific opportunity to buy fine handmade glass at small fractions of retail prices (I saw one piece valued at over $3000 sell for about a tenth of that). The crowd appears to be made up primarily of glass world insiders, so opportunities abound for outsiders to come in and share the wealth. If you're a fan of glass art, get on the Public Glass mailing list and make it a point to attend next year.
