Bay View Boat Club: Fred Crum.
Comment by AB: Fred Crum, owner of the former Gallery 1044, calls to tell me he's having a small opening and show of his whimsical cut paper constructions at a place called Bay View Boat Club. I've never heard of it, so I google it up to see what the deal is. Turns out to be a funky yellow wood frame throwback, standing all by itself, nestled in overgrowth, directly across the street from the gleaming new ultra high tech Mission Bay development. That's more than enough intrigue for me; I'm there.
