Steven Wolf Fine Arts: Victor Landweber - Treasure Tones - Flowers, Romantic Landscapes and Good Things To Eat; Daniel Tierney - Reject, Reject.
Review by RWM: Interesting take on Minimalist art, this variety of beautiful colors on display. Color charts are magnified, attractive colors with wonderful paint names. One can get lost in the colors which are pure, but even more so in the ways they are mixed.
Comment by AB: Enjoy Victor Landweber's intelligent and imaginative paint chart narratives in the main gallery, and in the lounge, Daniel Tierney's cryptic paintings on cardboard which even the artist is at a loss to explain. Stop on by.

Eleanor Harwood Gallery: James Chronister - Now We Lustre.
Comment by RWM: Nice Nostalgia. Nice Scenery. Wonderful People.
Comment by AB: Woodsy landscapes juxtaposed with appropriated Hippie-era images, the impressive part being that they're hand-painted oversized renditions of vintage black and white photo-offset newspaper or magazine illustrations. A Photorealist coup to be sure, and definitely worth a viewing. Not surprisingly, most paintings are already sold.

Adobe Books Backroom Gallery: Man-o-Man-o-Man - Photographs by Raphael Villet.
Comment by AB: Zine release for Man-o-Man-o-Man, a survey of photographs by Raphael Villet, published by the venerable dudes at Hamburger Eyes. You guessed it-- slice-o'-life from the dark side.
