Nieto Fine Art: Georgianne Fastaia - Evocation of Mystery.
Review by Clare Coppel: Paintings by Georgianne Fastaia. Large pieces with horses, barns, decaying Old West subject matters with red and white dripping paint, hidden faces, lots of texture, familiar and strange.
Comment by AB: Georgianne Fastaia has refined, nuanced and perfected her own unique style over the years and this show is the current culmination of that. Good art. See for yourself.

Alter Space: The Field as the Frame, the Raster as the Rake.
Artists: Jason Benson & Joel Dean (in collaboration), Nicolás Colón, Caitlin Denny, Matthew Endler, Bryan Morello, Dean Schneider. Matthew Endler, guest curator.
Comment by AB: Internet and technology increasingly control our lives. The connection between that premise and this show is not immediately apparent, but the art is at times adequately enticing to incite dialogue. So peruse, pick and choose, and seek your own meaning.

Romer Young Gallery: Susan O'Malley's exhibition - My Healing Garden is Green.
Comment by AB: This show is ostensibly about optimism, but after all is said and done, I'm not sure whether Susan O'Malley is homaging her mother or making a spectacle of her. According to the explanatory, 20% of sales go to support Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) research, so let's err on the side of optimism and call it an homage.
