SFMOMA Artists Gallery: Twentieth Annual Artists Warehouse Sale.
Artists: Tons and tons.
Comment by AB: SFMOMA Artists Gallery slashes prices on pretty much everything in the store, some pieces by as much as 75%, in their annual warehouse mega-sale. Two spaces, over 7000 square feet, hundreds of artists and works of art, numerous styles, mediums and subject matters-- it's BIG. People line up on opening night, the doors open, the rush is on, and it's welcome to the free-for-all. Everyone is so intent on augmenting their collections that the bars are doing approximately zero business, even though it's all on the house. No time for dawdling; tonight is all about acquiring. Unfortunately, this year's sale is history, but there's plenty of time get on the gallery's mailing list for next year's-- plus you'll get invites to all of their openings and events in between.
