Moroso Projects: Waiting Room. Curated by Nate Hooper and Greg Ito.
Artists: Facundo Argaņaraz, Bailey Hikawa, Joey Piziali, Sean Talley.
Comment by AB: I don't have a clue what the show statement is about. Yet another impenetrable accounting written exclusively for the anointed (and they wonder why more people don't buy more art). I suppose the rest of us can go screw ourselves. Here's a snippet - "The exhibition encourages the works to coexist with one another, evoking unexpected tensions and visual narratives." Make of that what you will. Fortunately, the art more than makes up for the lamentable expository-- accomplished, purposeful, precise and unconventionally displayed. Worth a visit.

Nowheresville: Jake Watling & Bill Dunlap - With Skulls & Bones I Made A Rattle.
Comment by AB: Kicky caricatures and occasional skulls by Jake Watling complement grisly portraiture by Bill Dunlap.

Needles & Pens: May The Stars Drip Down - Nikki McClure.
Comment by AB: Exhibit of original Nikki McClure paper-cut illustrations for the book "May the Stars Drip Down" by Jeremy Chatelain of Cub Country, published by Abrams Books for Young Readers. McClure has genuinely mastered this Far Eastern art form. Check it out.
