Comment by AB: If you like art and you like baseball, you'll love this show. Now in it's fifteenth year, it's practically a Bay Area institution as George Krevsky continues in his inexorable quest to coax baseball art out of the closet. And he's doing a pretty good job of it. So many fans crammed the gallery that the beer and hotdogs were long gone well before the third inning. Even singer Chris Isaak checks out the opening... they tell me. One of these days, a baseball player might even show up. Hey-- it could happen.

RayKo Photo Center: Voyeurism and Intimacy - The Public/Private Divide in Photography. Juried by Todd Hido.
Phtographers: Malena Barnhart, Sean Black, Tara Bogart, Kristy Lynn Carpenter, Daniel Coburn, Rachel Cox, Jess Dugan, Marico Fayre, Polly Gaillard, Tracie Heller, Rachel Hubbard, Julie Jones, Chris Jordan, Ashley Kaucshinger, John Kobeck, Julia Kozerski, Joseph Labate, Andrea Land, Sarah-Marie Land, Mark Lee, Alex Leme, Nora Lewis, Kimberly Llerena, Amelia Morris, Jay Mulin, Teresa Munisteri, Peggy Nolan, Emma Powell, Julia Schlosser, Besty Schneider, Marta Shumylo, Ernesto Somoza, Leona Strassburg, Claire Warden, Laine Wyatt.
Review by Clare Coppel: Photography is pretty voyeuristic by nature. One can just stare and stare another person-- their image, that is-- without, say, having a shoe thrown at them (ok, well, that's what I love about about it). Interesting images here include nudity, eye contact, seriousness and one lovely white white cat with yellow eyes named Boo... my favorite.

941 Geary Gallery: Justified Scriptures - New Paintings by Niels Shoe Meulman.
Review by Mairead O'Connor: Niels Shoe Meulman ingeniously blends the history of the art of writing with graffiti. The resulting "Calligraffiti" is both ordered and rebellious. In true Dutch style, it pays homage to tradition while reinventing the present to develop the future.
Review by Clare Coppel: Niels Shoe Meulman seems to really like the letter "M"... and it works.
