Ever Gold Gallery: Evan Nesbit - Light Farming / Heavy Gardening.

Review by RWM: Something you may have never seen before-- paint emerging from the back side of a canvas, in this case burlap. Nice color schemes and interesting new device for abstraction. The art pushing through from behind the medium is the focus of the display. The result is wonderful. Also on display are other sculptures, the likes of which you may never have seen before as well.

Comment by AB: Southern Exposure's annual fundraiser auction is crammed with art (over 140 works in all) donated by many of our better known creative talents. As always, supporters show up in droves for the privilege of bidding on tons of the good stuff, offered up in both silent and live auctions. Hard to believe this organization's been at it for nearly 40 years now, having long established themselves as one of San Francisco's most venerable non-profit art institutions.
