Jules Maeght Gallery: Painting is the Pattern - Pierre Roy-Camille and Zio Ziegler.
Review by RWM: Profound large-scale works that show well in this spacious gallery. One can get lost in the oversized paintings and their elements of symbolism. Beautiful display makes for an over-the-top meeting with something unexpected. Fun art draws large crowds so festive that you can't even hear yourself think.

Comment by AB: A colorful and elaborate installation by Truong Tran incorporates everything from birdcages to plastic balls and polished rock. Jaime Cortez uses selfies and portraits from online sex ads as the basis for his figural fantasies.

Adobe Books Backroom Gallery: Outsides - Anthony Ryan and Annie Vought.
Comment by AB: According to the deposition, Annie Vought uses anywhere from 500 to 1000 blades to produce each one of her impossibly intricate cut paper textual works. They have to be seen to be believed. Anthony Ryan bases his pattern prints (and a sculpture) on colors commonly used in commercial printing.
