Comment by AB: It's all about contemporary California art and artists here at John Berggruen this evening. On the first floor, he hauls out the heavy artillery including some tasty Ed Ruscha's and major paintings by Robert Bechtle and Wayne Thibaud, and in so doing, reminds us all that he da man. Upstairs, the art of Zoe Crosher, Dave Muller and Jonas Wood reflects the current creative ethos of artistic life and work on the West Coast.
