One remarkably consistent characteristic of Chinese art these days is its unbridled optimism... kind of exactly the opposite of American art. Special added attraction is a live performance by a traditional flute player.

"When the Rain Comes, When the Sun Shines," an entertaining computerized kinetic umbrella-opening extravaganza by Ian Treasure. Also, "Emisis" by Jaren Bonillo-- a strangely engaging 2D/3D sculpture & slide show installation of a woman taking a seat atop the porcelain throne and then proceeding to blow lunch while taking a dump.
