Comment by AB: Confession time. This one of my favorite art events of the year, easily in the top five-- so much exotica, so many objects to marvel at, learn about and just plain appreciate that I don't even know where to start. Let's just say the show has everything. I do what I can to convey an impression of the totality-- take a few photos, post 'em here. They're OK for a start, but they don't even begin to illustrate the extent and diversity of treasures that over 100 top international dealers from five continents import to San Francisco for our viewing edification and enjoyment. This year's special exhibit features Moroccan rag rugs. The Tribal & Textile Arts show is held the second weekend every February at Fort Mason; annotate your calendars now so you don't miss next year's.
