Silverman Gallery: Deva Graf - Good Morning.
Comment by AB: Deva Graf's contemplative altar-like installation focuses on her relationship with Mahayana Buddhism. All ceramics are made by her.

First Fridays, North Beach.
Comment by AB: A relatively recent addition to the the San Francisco art scene, multiple venues in North Beach either open shows or stay open late on the first Friday of the month. So here are some pics from that...

Fivepoints Arthouse: Aesthetic Anarchy.
Comment by AB: Any artist can hang whatever they want, wherever they want, limit one artwork per artist, on a first-come first-served basis (some restrictions apply, but they're minimal). And so they did. Witness the culmination of that...

Queens Nails Projects: The Immortal - Facundo Argaņaraz and Chris Hood.
Comment by AB: Best show I've seen at Queens Nails in quite some time, this kicky collaborative installation by Facundo Argaņaraz and Chris Hood-- a convergence of art, design, decoration, functionality, past, present and future. Meta-modern silkscreen and paint montages by Facundo Argaņaraz are as cogent and harmonious as can be, plus a strange cosmic sound & video piece starring a vintage still of Tina Turner is certain to mesmerize, and if that's not enough, a uniquely uncommon use for a retired Martin Stam side chair will twist up whatever's left of your brain. You don't see art that's spankin' fresh and commendably imaginative all that often. See it here.
