The Luggage Store Gallery: Resistance - Taraneh Hemami.
Comment by AB: Taraneh Hemami examines the broad consequences of activism, resistance, cultural and political shifts, and their effects on people and populations, particularly with respect to the past fifty years or so of upheaval and revolution in Iran. Much of her art is sourced from archives of the era. Make sure you see each piece close up as well as from a distance; lots of difficult painstaking detailed work... and all very well done. Compelling show; go see.
