Steven Wolf Fine Arts: Billy Bowers - Walt Disney Was Homosexual; Roger Arvid Anderson - Cockette Close-Up.

Comment by AB: New Year's Eve? What New Year's Eve? Steven Wolf opens a show anyway (cleverly disguised as a party). The good news? It's certainly festive, but just to make sure, I check the Official NYE Art Opening Rules and Regulations (San Francisco Edition), and according to Rule 23, Paragraph 4, Clause D, the show is technically permitted. As for the layout, the main wall of the front gallery is festooned with fabulously flamboyant, meticulous, accomplished, and generally homoerotic assemblages by Billy Bowers, while the lounge zone at the back features documentary photographs of the Cockettes circa 1972 by Roger Anderson which certainly encapsulate the essence of the era. Good show on all counts; check it out.
