Themes + Projects: Blind Spots - Beverly Rayner
Comment by AB: Fascinating amalgams and assemblages combined in unanticipated ways. Salvaged and recycled materials are often combined with photographic imagery. Good show.

Jack Fischer Gallery: i would lie to me - Lora Fosberg
Comment by AB: Three distinct bodies of work include black & white cartoon-like drawings, painted wood sculptures, and cross-sectional views of imagined geologies. At first I thought they were by three different artists, but they're all Lora Fosberg.

Electric Works: Ungrateful Mammals - Dave Eggers
Comment by AB: It's kinda like the same punchline over and over again. Fortunately, it's a pretty decent punchline, an entertaining array of animal admissions, and reasonably respectable art as well. Plenty to choose from. Special added bonus-- viewers are encouraged to physically rearrange the show. Fun.
