Dolby Chadwick Gallery: James Kennedy - t h o u g h t f o r m s
Comment by AB: Highly precise and regimented compositions look like cross-sections of complex machinery. You gotta zoom in close to really appreciate the component parts. Worth a visit.

K Imperial Fine Art: Peter Foucault - Drawing in Dystopia
Comment by AB: Collaborations between man and machine. A little robot runs around and starts it; the artist finishes it. Paintings on brushed aluminum, wood panels, and paper.

Jules Maeght Gallery: Derrire le Miroir
Comment by AB: For those of you keeping score at home, French art dealer Aim Maeght published Derrire le Miroir, a deluxe portfolio-style art periodical from 1946 to 1982. Many of the issues contained original lithographs by the featured artists; the most collectible issues sell for thousands of dollars each today. Along the front wall, see the covers of all 200 issues published. A selection of limited edition works and originals by noted DLM artists Pol Bury, Alexander Calder, Alberto Giacometti, Ellsworth Kelly, Joan Mir and Saul Steinberg are also on display. One of the great art periodicals of all time. Good show; stop on by; learn something.
