Review by John Casey: 21 Grand hosts it's annual fundraiser with an eclectic mix of East Bay artists participating. This is a cash and carry event with some great deals to be found.

Johansson Projects: Flaming Furbelows.

Review by John Casey: Kate Eric is the collaborative identity of Kate Tedman and Eric Siemens. Together they create detailed yet organic paintings that are reminiscent of biological microscopic landscapes. Marina Vendrell Renaut builds sculpture out of recycled fur coats, yarn balls, and stuffed animals. Her sculptures are simultaneously inviting and repulsive.

Hatch Gallery: You Wouldn't Know Contemporary Art If It Slapped Us in the Face.

Review by John Casey: Fort Gallery presents another strong solo show featuring the drawings of Jon Carling. The artist is present manning a table full of prints of the originals. A good affordable alternative during these tough economic times.
