Dolby Chadwick Gallery: Gonzalo Fuenmayor - Picturesque
Comment by AB: Dive into opulence with Gonzalo Fuenmayor's preposterous over-the-top apparitions of wealth. The starkness of his charcoal drawings in combination with the absurdity of the circumstances really gets you thinking about the point beyond which enough becomes too much. Worth a visit.

Hashimoto Contemporary: Ravi Zupa - The Turmoil of Being
Comment by AB: Revel in two distinct bodies of work by Ravi Zupa, each equally appetizing. Mixed-media works on panel combining collage, painting and printmaking show alongside sculptures of high-powered firearms assembled largely from old typewriter and fountain pen parts. While his weaponry suggests that perhaps the pen is truly mightier than the sword, his intricate wall works are rife with detail and can be appreciated from historical and cultural as well as editorial perspectives. Go see.
