Comment by AB: Braunstein/Quay Gallery has a tradition of introducing artist's who have never had shows. This exhibit looks at some of the gallery's past introductions in terms of where they were when they were first introduced and where they are now.

Recyclable coat by Zoe Alexander Fisher, wool with embedded seeds. When it's all worn out, you're supposed to just plant it and the seeds will grow-- a Chia coat, you might say. Not sure what happens if you wear it in the rain.

Market Street Gallery: When Angels Dream - Norville Parchment.

Review by RWM: Nice work, with some paintings reminiscent of Chagall because of their colors and compositional schemes. The scenes of Angels engage, though they may not be appreciated by those who have seen Wings of Desire. These angelic forms are feminine, which might have the viewer thinking about Feminist struggles, and of all those battles that have yet to be won. But more beautiful and reactionary here than confrontational as they take flight like beautiful doves.

Review by RWM: Upbeat collection of work with verve, excitement and vitality. Happening here is an artistic event which defies boundaries. The work on display eschews convention, coming from artists who intrepidly nudge their way through the door, hoping to consummate great escapes and discover something better on the other side.
