Comment by AB: Victor Reyes riffs alphabetic in his dynamic ornamental style-- a unique urban exemplar of calligraphic flash. His vibrant energized font reinterprets-- in fact homages-- our fundamental symbols of human communication in bursts of fiery frenzy. Not only does he accomplish this in paintings, but he letters up walls Citywide as well, generously branding drabness into enchantment, transforming vacuum into allure... all at his own effort and expense... and entirely for our enjoyment and appreciation. But wait; there's more. Tonight's opening hoedown is about as kick-ass as they get, attracting a panoply of notables from across the Ess Eff artscape. Stop on by. Worth it.
