Museum of Craft and Design: Constructed Communication - Kenji Nakayama, Amy Sinbondit, Ben Venom; Lines That Tie - Carole Beadle and Lia Cook
Lines That Tie artists: Morgan Bajardi, Tracy Krumm, Ali Naschke-Messing, Christy Matson, Kate Nartker, LJ Roberts, Ruth Tabancay, Margo Wolowiec.
Comment by AB: Constructed Communication highlights the intersection of art and craft featuring quilting by Ben Venom, signage by Kenji Nakayama, and indecipherable ceramic "writings" by Amy Sinbondit. Lines That Tie homages the art of retiring longtime CCA faculty members Carole Beadle and Lia Cook along with a smattering of works by some of their more notable students who have gone on to make names for themselves. Worth a visit.

Capital Gallery at Minnesota Street Project: Black Standard - Davina Semo, Phil Wagner, Survival Research Laboratories
Comment by AB: Even when they're not operational, the menacing kinetic beasts by Survival Research Laboratories are the stars of this show, but it's all good here.
