Jack Fischer Gallery: Natalya Burd - "Leaves of Grass" after Walt Whitman
Comment by AB: Lush plant and foliage scenes are painted in acrylic on plexiglass and set against reflective backgrounds. Oddly seductive, they beckon you into their midst. I see commercial and interior applications here in the form of full-wall installations. Best viewed in person to experience the full effect.

Casemore Kirkeby: Steve Kahn - Stasis, Corridors 1969-1980
Comment by AB: Stark architecture and figures isolated in sparse interiors characterize this twenty-year retrospective of conceptual photographic work. Stop on by.

Bass & Reiner Gallery: With a Little Bit of Luck, We'll Make it Through The Night - Carissa Potter and Mie Mogensen
Comment by AB: Carissa Potter and Mie Mogensen who have worked together before reunite to produce this black and white show. They're not saying who made what as they spontaneously rearrange and rehang the work during the course of the opening.
