Gallery 16: Reduziert - Thomas Heinser
Comment by AB It's off we go, up in a helicopter to photograph California views from above including San Francsco Bay's salt flats, the aftermath of forest fires, barren rolling hills and lonely roads. What's fascinating about these images is that they're often barely recognizable as landscapes at all.

Southern Exposure: Steam Work - Michael Parker
Comment by AB Michael Parker fills the gallery with meandering ceramic fountains, a mirrored sauna that you climb into from beneath, wooden stools, shelves, seat cushions, coat hangers, and all kinds of small semi-functional ceramic objects. His down-home industrial aesthetic gives this impressive installation a certain warmth and charm. Hard work (and lots of it) pays off. Go see; this is a good one.

Black and White Projects: Leah Rosenberg - Color and Scale
Comment by AB Lea Rosenberg's richly frosted panels look almost good enough to eat. You'll see that there's more than single colors involved when you look at 'em from the side.
