Anglim Gilbert Gallery: Migrations - Tomas Nakada; As the Crow Flies and Pliny's Natural History of Jewels - William Allan
Comment by AB: Intricate hypnotic pattern paintings by Tomas Nakada may well have magical mind-altering effects. William Allan works the mind as well with his meditative bird silhouettes painted in tar against plain backgrounds, and a set of paintings on lima beans including all-knowing-eyes. Worth a visit.

Ampersand International Arts: Golden State - Mary Anne Kluth; Fleeting Shattered Continuous - Sarah A. Smith
Comment by AB: Use of gold paint and gilding by Sarah A Smith gives her art an appearance of opulence, but ominous undertones are apparent as well. Imaginative landscape collages by Mary Anne Kluth may well be glimpses of utopian worlds.
