ArtZone 461 Gallery: Ryan M. Reynolds - Continuum.

Review by RWM: Compelling show which explores wonder and memory. Great landscapes of time and place assembled in collages of sorts. There are stories to be told. Viewers find themselves hungry for narratives which they could add on their own. The river constantly changes, as the great philosopher Heraclitus once said, but one wonders what has been lost in the motion. The wonderful waters will catch you up in the atmospherics.

Guerrero Gallery: Forgotten in a File - Erin M. Riley; Consensus - Hilary Pecis.

Review by Clare Coppel: In the front gallery, handwoven wool tapestries by Erin M. Riley, mostly pictures of women and the kinds of stuff that people put on the Internet. A uniquely creative and thoughtful contemporary series in a very old fashioned medium which is also associated with women. In the middle gallery are photographic collages of images found on the internet by Hilary Pecis based on word searches, and then layered one on top of the other... layers and layers. Both these shows are fascinating reflections of what how the internet is viewed by different individuals.

Comment by AB: In the rear gallery, Hilary Pecis presents a video collage overlay of key scenes from feature films. Meanwhile, I'm a big fan of Erin M. Riley's seedy loom-woven vignettes made entirely of hand-dyed wool yarn (aka it's a buy). Worth a visit on both counts.

The Shooting Gallery: Another Man's Hero - Paul Chatem.

Review by Clare Coppel: Mixed media pieces with cogs, screws and lots of red in these intense cartoon-style images of lust, greed and strange faces.

Comment by AB: Tired of paintings that just sit there and do nothing? Well, you can actually be a part of these. Hand crank Paul Chatem's darkly amusing compositions whenever you get the urge. Check 'em out.

White Walls Gallery: Élan Vital - New Works by Michael Page.

Review by Clare Coppel: Dayglo dreamscapes with lions, tigers and girls.

Comment by AB: Michael Page's intense hallucinatory fantasies are unadulterated hi-octane all the time. Entities of pure energy engage with apparitions transiting the morass, the consequences of which remain tantalizingly baffling.
