DAVID HARDY, SUZANNE HUSKY, LIEN TRUONG, DIANE LANDRY OPENING 03.05.04 Comment: Good art all over the place at this surprisingly fun show. Enjoyable when taken at face value; add the interpretive and you've got fun with thoughtfulness. A perfect win-win situation. Art roofer Hardy's fake shakes look real, and real well-done, supported by clogs-- smilers all the way; Husky's stuffed mushroom patches are straight out of fantasyland-- biohazard byproducts never looked so good; Truong's stark portraits explore American family structures and demographics, while Truong herself might explore the possibility of moonlighting as a portrait painter (assuming she hasn't already); and Landry's light-play sculptures are imaginative, but not nearly as imaginative as her asking prices. Artist/Artists: Lien Truong, Diane Landry, Suzanne Husky, David Hardy.
