Comment: Some shows look like the artists do them more for each other than for anyone else, not quite bridging the gap between themselves and relevance. Then again, art is not about having to bridge anything, nor is it about having to ask whether anything is being bridged. Art is, at times, about asking how an artist expects to make a living doing whatever it is that he or she does in order that he or she may continue doing it, assuming he or she cares. Other times it's not. The show's front window diorama features plastic dolls in pondscape, one of which appears to be giving birth while swinging from a tree branch (caution: do not try this at home, especially men); a coffin-cradled baby with an overwhelmingly generous clear blue plastic protuberance looks on. Inside the small and inviting gallery, a congenial and educated group experiences a handful of sound installations, all reasonably priced.
