Comment: Fressola's paintings reference abstract expressionism, hence the title of the show, 1948. In addition to an art education, he's studied design, color theory, and space planning. This all makes sense-- his art blends easily into contemporary interiors, but it's got just enough of an edge to qualify for an upgrade beyond being purely derivative. A visit to Fressola's website reveals that he's painted, shown, and sold plenty, although being the smart shopper that I am, I find the current tariff configuration a smidgeon altitudinous. A distinctive style may be on the evolutionary horizon; various elements are present and awaiting final orders, perhaps ultimately to yield the unity of purpose that will identify a Fressola as a Fressola.
