Comment: According to their website, Gen Art is an arts and entertainment organization dedicated to showcasing emerging fashion designers, filmmakers, musicians, and visual artists (branches in SF, NY, LA, Miami, Chicago). According to me, Gen Art stages events where delectible cultured artsters of all persuasions can sidle (or not) in circumstances far more creative and engaging than the usual time wasters like bars and singles slogs. NewFangle is particularly conducive to inaugural encounters as much of the art is video related, meaning that lighting is low, meaning that normally good looking people look even better. But enough about preprocreative potentialities. The art is high caliber, well-chosen, unintimidating, and appealing to a broad range of viewers-- not just art snits. The show runs through June 24th with a closing party that night from 6-9 PM. One show, two weeks, two parties. That simple and no more complicated. Artist/Artists: James Buckhouse, Scott Draves (Spot), Kenneth Tin-Kin Hung, Katherine Isbister, Evelyne Koeppel, Reuben Lorch-Miller, Brendan Lott, Seth Myers, Shirley Shor, Laura Splan, Kris Stoll, Rainey Straus.
