SFMOMA ARTISTS GALLERY 02.06.08 SFMOMA Artists Gallery: Quiet Spaces. Artists: Robert Apte, Pamela Belknap, Diane Kreiter, Michelle Nye, Jeannie O'Connor, Nadim Sabella, German Herrera, Frederick Hodder, Charles Reilly, Ethel Jimenez, Irene Imfeld, Natalie Redpath, Mary Priest. Comment by AB: An adept array of photographs of interiors and exteriors, the overarching theme being some variation on calm and quiet. You got images of grand old Colorado ranches we need to preserve, de rigeur Katrina ravaged abandoned building interiors, atmospheric Alcatraz night views, clean cropped architectural snippets, and plenty more. Price range is $400-$2500; most under $1K. Artists occasionally ask me whether having work for sale or rent at the SFMOMA Artists Gallery is a good idea. The answer is unequivocally YES. Not only does the gallery have a loyal and considerable following (as evidenced by the density of their openings, for example), but the association with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is more than enough incentive for people to shop there with confidence (including those who aren't necessarily that comfortable or experienced around art). Alcatraz at night photography. Iceberg photos (kinda like 'em). More iceberg photographs. Photography. Photographs. Irene Imfeld - photos. Frederick Hodder - photography. Images. Photographs.
