Comment by AB: In the front gallery, Daniel Nevers goes benignly berserk with the stuff Home Depot is made of-- wheelbarrows, power strips, electrical cable, ladders, lightbulbs, toilet plungers, brooms, and more. According to the proclamation, the import of the installation is that "do-it-yourself is the new self-help." Sounds plausible. One thing for sure-- you have to be a major risk taker to hire the dude to remodel your house. In the rear gallery, SoEx's Youth Advisory Board (YAB) members, teaching artists and partners from the community create a multimedia workspace installation to creatively explore social issues, personal experiences, stereotypes, and effective modes of communication and dialogue.
