Chandler Fine Art: Marsha McDonald - Silent Views.

Review by RWM: Nice blend of abstracts and landscapes, most recognizable as scenes of the great outdoors. Look from afar into these lands as they have been captured by Marsha McDonald's psyche.

Marx & Zavattero: Forrest Williams - Crossways.

Comment by AB: The male players in these paintings by Forrest Williams are often close in physical proximity, but cryptically distant emotionally.

Eleanor Harwood Gallery: John Chiara - Point Bonita.

Comment by AB: John Chiara's unique brand of photography transforms the sculpture garden at Laney College into a phantasmagoric extraterrestrial planetscape. His perspective on remnants of World War II bunkers at Point Bonita yields similar results. Worth a visit.

Fabric8 Gallery: Femme de Siecle - New Works by Telopa and Ursula X Young.

Review by RWM: The artistic muses the frequent The Mission Distric and Frabic8 in particular are on display again. They exist in wonderful colorings with fantastic imagery. One does not quite meet them in these new paintings; they seem to live alone even when surrounded as they exert their presence and universal appeal.

Gallery 1988: Jeremiah Ketner, Ewelina Ferruso, Yosuke Ueno - New Work.

Comment by AB: Ewelina Ferruso's quease-worthy concoctions are sure to unsettle your psyche. As for the rest, big eyes abound.

Space Gallery: What A Ship Is Built For - Brandie Grogan.

Review by Clare Coppel: Brandi Grogan solo show includes a big peaceful turquoise cloud-like shape made of glass tiles installed on the wall, and black and white images on wood. All of it is welcomingly serene compared to the craziness of a Saturday Night just down the stairs on Polk Street.

Comment by AB: Worth a look.
