Hosfelt Gallery: Surabhi Saraf - Remedies.

Comment by AB: Mesmerizing larger-than-life performance videos by Surabhi Saraf make you feel as if you're immersed in their plots. Here and there around the gallery floors are video "sculptures" on pedestals inspired by the artist's family's pharmaceutical factory in Indore, India where pills and capsules are made the old fashioned way with outdated machinery. Good show; go see.

Jack Fischer Gallery: Lora Fosberg - Everything and Nothing.

Review by RWM: Personal possessions are never quite fulfilling even if the owner has more than they need. Interesting depictions of gluttony, especially an assemblage of miniature suitcases in a pile, possibly a trip that might be going nowhere. Fascinating miniatures and stylish compositions point up the contrasts between everything and nothing.

Comment by AB: A little bit of everything here. Worth a look.

Luna Rienne Gallery: Parts & Labor - Reuben Rude, Bill Zindel, and Jose Arenas.

Comment by AB: Plenty to see here in this meandering three-person show, particularly rich in small-format works.

Vorres Gallery: States of Perpetual Consequence - Melinda Smith Altshuler.

Review by RWM: Not sure what is solid and what is imagined. Interesting perspectives on time, places and the imagination. Their essence might be anywhere in the time journey of the mind, hearkening back to olden days, but not lost in memory.

Comment by AB: What do you do if you love tea and drink a ton of it. Save the bags and make 'em into art. Of course. Adventures in unfettered whimsy here.
