The Luggage Store Gallery: Public Mural Unveiling by OSGEMEOS.

Comment by AB: Brazilian muralist brothers OSGEMEOS (Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo) officially introduce their new mural on the side of 1005 Market near Sixth Street, one of several large murals that they're painting in the downtown area. Tonight's celebration is all about that.

Unspeakable Projects: Justine Frischmann - The Battle of Faith and Doubt.

Comment by AB: According to the preamble, Justine Frischmann's paintings were "made in short, intense sessions over an eighteen month period." Well, they certainly got the short part right. If she spent any longer than 30 minutes on any of these (and I'm being generous), I'd be surprised. To further compromise the presentation, several spray painted tarps, looking like they might have been working surfaces at some point, are also on display. Next.

Luna Rienne Gallery: The Making Of - Reuben Rude.

Review by RWM: Fascinating show with interesting colors and mediums for art. Sad to see the somberness, but one may revel in the creativity and the unusual on display. For observation also are some of Reuben Rude's art journals, which include a bunch of sorrowful looking dudes who you may have never really seen the likes of before. Solemn yet surprising. Also a beautiful explication of the mind and use of colors and materials.

Comment by AB: Reuben Rude's sketchbooks are most impressive, but it's all worthy here. He's an accomplished technician and draftsman, but identifiable stylistic vestiges of other artists occasionally diminish the shimmer.

Campfire Gallery: Web of Wyrd - Michael Campbell.

Review by RWM: Halloween is here early for scary works that startle and may make you shiver or give you the chills. A skull can say so much. That they also have hair can mean all sorts of different things. Spooky reminder of a month that is on its way.
