Hackett Mill Gallery: Forms of Flight.

Artists: Lee Bontecou, Richard Diebenkorn, Franz Kline, Bob Law, Jules Olitski, Milton Resnick, Antoni Tąpies, Conrad Marca-Relli, Herbert Ferber, Robert Motherwell, more.

Review by RWM: Fun to see some high end abstract works from artists many of us have heard of. The unusual and unexpected on display. Interesting to see this art in shaded rooms rather than big and large on the white walls of a museum. Wondrous and introspective.

Comment by AB: According to the gallery, many of these artworks are on exhibit in San Francisco for the first time.

Gensler + Guerrero Gallery: Group Show.

Artists: Ryan Wallace, Alex Lukas, Cody Hudson, Adam Feibelman, Victor Reyes.

Comment by AB: Gensler is a major international architecture firm currently involved in the design and construction of the tallest building in China and Facebook's new Menlo Park headquarters among numerous other projects. The fact that they regularly devote time and space to showing the work of area artists is beyond commendable. If only other companies would follow suit. Our creative community is an essential part of what makes the San Francisco Bay Area great (and one of the most desirable places to live in the country, aka one of the reasons why employers can attract such fabulous talent). Perhaps some of you businesses and tech firms might take a chance and get to know them a wee bit better. Art makes life more livable. Try it; you'll like it.

Live Worms Gallery: Carrington Artworks - Destroy + Create; Malaprops & Punishing Puns - Social Satire Assemblages by Sean O'Donnell.

Comment by AB: Upbeat paint/collage combinations and several folding screens by Carrington Artworks are entertainingly offset by Sean O'Donnell's super campy pun-a-thon.
