Brian Gross Fine Art: Roy De Forest - Let Sleeping Dogs Lie.

Review by RWM: Nice communion between the art and the crowd. It's as if all those assembled in the paintings look back at the viewers. Humorous show for those who don't take themselves too seriously. An artistic endeavor that's lively and enlightening. Some things happily don't need to be said, but rather seen in a more comical way.

Comment by AB: Classic California Funk Art from the estate of Roy De Forest (1930-2007). He was definitely one of the best. Go see.

Kiria Koula: Teresa Baker and Jenny Monick.

Comment by AB: Sculptural wall works by Teresa Baker are comprised mainly of felt, canvas, vinyl and paint. Paintings by Jenny Monick are layered in such a way that you can sometimes see, and other times sense their evolution.

Asterisk Gallery: For the Love of San Francisco.

Artists: Diego Gomez, Danny Ayala, Peter Mann, Jon Fischer, Eclair Bandersnatch, Solis.

Comment by AB: An eclectic array of art is themed on the tensions between the old San Francisco and the new, about changing neighborhoods versus preserving diversity.
