Eleanor Harwood Gallery: Adam Friedman - Space and Time, and Other Mysterious Aggregations .
Comment by AB: Adam Friedman offers up intriguing perspectives on the earth's atmosphere, geology and terrain in a series of visionary paintings, some of which double as sculptures. His planet-scapes are majestic, grand, and best of all, optimistic.

Art at The Dump (Recology San Francisco Artist in Residence Exhibitions): Jeff Hantman - Unassigned; Julia Goodman - Rag Sorters and Star Gazers; Michael Damm - Incidental Films for an Accidental Audience.
Comment by AB: Sculptures and assemblages by Jeff Hantman are created mainly from recycled wood, much of which he shapes into graceful curves and forms, assembles, and embellishes in various ways with silkscreen designs and other found remnants. Julia Goodman shows two bodies of work-- pressed and patterned paper that she handmakes from rags, and an abstract slide show inspired by a rescued collection of water damaged glass photographic plates. In an office building down the street, Michael Damm creates the illusion of passing trains by projecting their moving images onto a translucent material that covers a line of plate glass windows.

Mollusk Surf Shop: Alex Knost - Fried Performance.
Review by RWM: Wild abstracts with fun use of color. One wonders if the artist has met some of the abstract people on display in his paintings. Enjoyable, but also a source of curiosity, wonder and playfulness.
